Chapter 3 - The return to a new world



Amy's POV
The mysterious book shone even more brightly. My heart began to accelerate and fear took hold of my body. The same wasn´t happening with Sonic. He seemed calm, as if that were the most normal thing of life.

- It's magic, Amy. It's time - he said, smiling. Magic? But what did he mean?
 Suddenly, the light got so strong that it was unbearable to let my eyes open. A bit of wind crossed my face. Withou realizing it, I clung to  Sonic´s arm. I felt that the only security that I could have was grabbing him. I stood with my eyes shut for, what seemed, a long time.

- Ames? Ames! You can open your eyes now . - Sonic whispered in my ear. With my body shaking with fear, I obeyed. Very slowly, I opened my eyes ... and I started to realize that I wasn´t In my house´s living room. Instead of that, I was in a field with a lot of green grass and in the horizon, I could see some mountains cutting the blue sky.

- Wow .. - I said, impressed.
- Welcome to Camelot, Amy - Sonic whispered in my ear, smiling. I couldn´t believe ... I was in a world of a fairy tale!
My astonishment disappeared when I realized that I was still clinging to Sonic´s arm. I blushed slightly and let it go suddenly.

- Hmm .. sorry. - I said. II knew how much he didn´t like when I hugged or chased him. Sonic laughed.
- It´s ok. C´mon, I have to show ya this world. - he paused for a moment, turned to me and smiled "ironically" - Because you didn´t believe that it existed when I told you my first adventure here, a year ago.

I blushed by hearing those words. I looked down, with shame marked on my face. It was true. I remembered very well of what happened in the previous year. In one of my usual chases - that I stopped doing them for over nine months - I finally to convinced Sonic to go on a date with me. I was completely hysterical when he sighed and said, "Okay, I'll take you wherever you want." I came home, dressed the best clothes I had and combed my quills. I couldn´t believe it: I was going in a date with Sonic. With Sonic! It was my dream come true. And everything had to be perfect. But after all, what could go wrong? I left my home and went to the combinated place, at the combinated hour. And I waited. Waited. Waited. Waited. And he never appeared. Seconds became minutes, minutes became hours ... and he didn´t show up.
"But what happened to him?" I asked myself, in thoughts. Several hours of wating passed, until he appeard.
-SONIC! Why are you so late?! - I asked angrily. Didn´t he knew that was rude making a girl waiting? He wasn´t polite, geez! And the most annoying thing is that his excuse for being late was that he had gone to an enchanted world of a book whith kings, knights and magic. It was the most lame excuse that I ever heard coming from his mouth. What I didn´t knew is that what he told me was true. But it was hard to believe that there was a magical world inside a book. To me, that story was for children to fall asleep at night! So, I furiously grabbed my hammer. With that, Sonic was impaired - and physically hurt  - for telling the truth. And I didn´t believe him. I lowered my ears in shame.

- I´m sorry, Sonic ... sorry for not believe you. - I said sadly, still looking down. Sonic grabbed my chin and gently lifted my head, making me look at him. I blushed slightly when I locked my eyes on his.
- Hey, it´s ok. It doesn´t matter now - he said smiling at me. I smiled back.
- Thank you - I said. We stayed there, looking at each other for a few moments.

- Well, shall we go now? - He said, breaking the silence. I nodded. And in the exact moment when we were going to walk, several bodies fell from the sky just in front of us. I got scared to death, I was about to havie a heart attack right there!



Sonic's POV
- Aaaah! - Amy screamed when several bodies fell on the ground right in front of us. I got a huge fright, not only for those "uninvited guests", but also by the great scream that Amy had released. With my little finger, I scratched my left ear, trying to "unstop it" because of the shrill sound of her voice.

- Hugh ... - I heard several voices saying, as if they were complaining of pain. I couldn´t see who had just fallen. When the dust settled, my eyes widened.

- You?! What the hell are you guys doing here?!
